Treatment Approach
Treatment is guided by disease severity and extent. Mild-to-moderate disease is managed with anti-inflammatory medicines, dietary counselling, and Panchkarma therapies such as Basti (medicated enemas) to directly heal the colonic mucosa. Severe or refractory cases are referred appropriately.
